Single C-Purling up the center, which holds batteries & acts as basic backbone. In this pix, one of these but deeper & longer would run the length of the trike. Batteries would fit down inside, stacked in row with terminals at top. This would be covered by an inverted C-shaped covering of lesser thickness. The purling could be bought in its full length, or Duncan could fabricate it from thick sheet metal in 4ft sections & weld the sections together.
In basic skeleton form, the backbone with seats on it would be about all there is to it, with the cross-beams for front wheels & suspension in front & suspension & rear wheel with hub motor in rear. It would be made so that different skins of different shapes could be bolted to the skeleton, but the skeleton is fully functional as is.
