CURRENT THINKING----Carbon Fiber
At this point, we are wanting a small quantity (1 of each diameter) to test as prototype. If it works well & is cost effective, we would like to market it in the US to the ham radio community & police, fire, emergency workers, etc. Please provide some ideas of what you are able to do, and approximate costs. Are you able to work with us on a small quantity for a prototype? If not, do you have any recommendations on who/where/how we should search?

Mast for light-weight ham antenna mast made of telescoping sections of carbon fiber or roll-wrapped fiberglass. Sections=largest ones at base, to 13+mm at top & 4 - 5.5 ft long, depending on pricing lengths, shipping, etc. Depending on section lengths, a 50 ft pole = 13sections, nesting until deployed. Ideally, it would be able to stay relatively straight while being raised from horizontal, with less than 1 lb on the top end. If this degree of rigidity is not feasible, it could be raised vertically, but horizontal is preferable.
For now: 1of each diameter, for prototype. If it works well & is cost effective, we would like to market it. Are you able to work with us on a small quantity for a prototype? If not, do you have any recommendations on who/where/how we should search? (<800 words)

In looking at your product list, I noticed I am unfamiliar with the way you are using Phi in the measurements.
A few quick questions:
--What is the ID x OD in mm of "φ7 x φ8"?
--What are standard lengths?
--Which sizes actually slide inside others without slop?
--What is cost/ft or cost/mm? FOB?
--Cost/unit will be more important in production than in prototype---How much does price drop with larger quantities?
Thank You,
Gaaren

FiberGlass Tubing
PROB1: need flexible paint for fiberglass, so no slivers when it bends.
PROB 2: make cap & joint & drill hole +way to fasten pulleys to top.
6/8--got 2 pulleys & more hose clamps so ready when tubes come.
6/8/11--ordered (2) .500" + (1) .75" tubes--ea will be cut in 58"+38" sections. The 58" section of the .500" tube goes in end of .625" alumTubing. The 38" .500" goes on top w/ 8" piece glued to o/s of bottom end of it for the 58" to insert into. The top end will have a cap on it to reinforce it because it will have a hole drilled through it to hang a pulley from. The cap will also seal it up to keep rain from going down inside. Might just dip it in the rubberized stuff, if it holds together--might have to glue a smaller rod section inside it then cap it.
We currently have ability to do this with aluminum & fiberglass tubes, but I believe carbon fiber or roll-wrapped fiberglass would be a better material, if we can keep the cost down. The pole consists of telescoping sections (largest ones at base, to at least .5 in or 13mm at top). Ideal length of sections is about 4 - 5.5 ft, depending on standard pricing lengths, shipping, etc. Depending on length, a 50 ft pole would take about 13sections, which all nest inside each other until deployed. Ideally, it would be able to stay relatively straight while being raised from horizontal, with less than 1-2 lbs on the top end. If this degree of rigidity is not feasible, it could be raised vertically, but horizontal is preferable.

LETTER TO KAYAK PADDLE MFG Co's
We are building a prototype of a telescoping pole mast for light-weight ham radio antennas for sale. Currently we can do this with aluminum, but carbon fiber or roll-wrapped fiberglass would be a better material for it, if we can find it, & at a reasonable cost. Kayak paddle shafts are made of the stuff we are looking for, so we thought we'd see if you would be so kind as to tell us what manufacturers you get your shaft blanks from. We need different sizes, but if you can point us to reasonable cost sources for your blanks, they may have the sizes we are looking for.
Thank You for your response.

OLD NOTES ALONG THE LEARNING CURVE
5/24/11---I ordered 1/4-1/2" pieces 5'10" from them. They would have charged $56 for min 70pound if I kept them 8'. Will have to alter plans some, at least until can get volume up.
Antenna Mount = Bamboo abt 1" x 8', clamped to top section of pipe
