Agenda Items
please use this format: "#. title - short description [name]"
1. Brainstorming Session to see if we can figure out additional ways to increase efficiency and expedite our client intake process to reduce client wait time on Sunday nights. - Steve
2. Dinner breaks during shift on Sunday nights. - Steve
3. Non-section coordinator access to coordinators account. - Steve
4. Change in CDC dual treatment protocol for treatment of GC. - Steve/Dave
5. Discussion regarding the QA checklist on the back of charts, and the QA comments from shift results. - Steve
6. Vote Justin in as member-Justin
7. Discussion regarding how to present "probationary period" to new class of trainees, and how to deal with non-compliance. - Steve/Dave
8. Discussion of protocol change for treatment of clients who have exposure to NSU/NGU (See information below from Dr Keith) - Steve
Rationale:
The most recent CDC guidelines recommend empiric treatment for chlamydia and urine testing for gonorrhea/chlamydia if a client has been exposed to a partner with NGU.
Recommendation:
We would recommend that the GMHC adopts this policy (empiric treatment along with urine testing). Since this is not official GMHC policy, we would recommend that the medics check in with the medical consultant to review testing/treatment considerations if a client reports NGU exposure (or any STD exposure).
9. Announcement/Straw poll on use of GMHC discretionary funds to purchase laptop & projector. - Steve/TC
10. Nomination (and hopefully election) of additional Section Coordinators. Discussion of roles and responsibilities - Jason T
11. Announcement (again) and reiteration of importance of attending Dr Kent's wine charity fundraiser, and obtain list of potential attendees to send for RSVP to Dr Kent. - Evan/Steve
12. Nomination (and hopefully election) of new CSC representative for our section. - Eric/Steve
