Dave and Jane

I've known Dave for, let's see...hmmm...how long ago did you say God was born? Well, maybe not quite that long, but I first met him about 1989, and became roommates in 1991, I believe it was. He'd gotten me interested in getting my "ham ticket," something I've been meaning to do for the past 20 years, but since he now holds an "extra" ticket (it's slang for a "Extra Class ham radio operator's license), I did at least want to get my technician's license, which was accomplished on August 20, 2005. Got my General Class ticket in April, 2007 and finally passed the Extra Class exam in March, 2021. Thanks Dave for showing me a way to spend some more hard-earned cash on yet another hobby! :-)

Dave and Jane have been married since July, 1999 and I was best man at their wedding. Drove 1500 miles from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Coldwater, Ohio just to be there. Now that I'm living only 35 miles away, I tend to talk to them on the phone quite frequently.

Jane retired in early 2010 and is having a lot of fun not working. What a life. Dave retired in November, 2014 and is now quite familiar with the lazy bum experience. He's really gotten deep into the ham radio hobby as well as collecting backpacking type camp stoves, trying to find the "perfect stove."

The photos below were taken in October, 2005 on one of my excursions from Albuquerque to Ohio. Little did I know one day I'd live in Indiana! In the photo of Tim and CJ, the world unfortunately lost both of them very early; Tim at age 55 and Claudia (CJ) at 41 years old. Miss them both a great deal.

Tim and CJ (Claudia)...may they both rest in peace. Standing is mom, Jane during a garage sale (in a REAL garage!!!)

This is Dave again...taken the same time, same place, same garage sale. I do have more current photos and will include them when I do a major site update.
