Individual Learning Plan

ILP (INDIVIDUAL LEARNING PLAN)

An individualized learning plan is both a document and a process that students use – with support from school counselors, teachers, and parents – to define their career goals and postsecondary plans in order to inform their decisions about their courses and activities throughout high school. Many states have adopted policies that require all middle and/or high school students to develop and maintain an  individualized learning plan in order to make schools more personalized and improve student outcomes.  National Collaboration on Workforce and Disability (NCWD for Youth) Students in Kentucky begin working on their ILP in 6th grade and continue developing each year.

As part of the ILP, Individual Learning Plan, students at GCHS utilize the Tassel and Google Sites to plan and organize career/college information in order to better assist student in decision making.

Tassel is a great tool for students and parents to utilize in figuring out the future. The lessons in Tassel are designed to assist students with developing their profile page and learning about building their pathway, portfolio, and resume. Tassel is a great tool for students and parents to utilize in figuring out the future.  You can find this tool on the GCHS website under the “student” tab. TASSEL is for Kentucky's 6th grade through 12th grade students and is changing how students prepare themselves for their future.

There are many features and resources that involve students on a variety of levels:
