Drs. Miguel Olivas, Concepción Lujan, and Javier Hernández are all members of the Faculty of Agricultural and Forest Sciences at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua (UACH) in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico. They have a wide variety of applied research and teaching experiences in forest extension, strategic forest planning, non-timber forest products, sustainable community forest development, forest enterprises and competitiveness, plant propagation, forest mensuration and silviculture. Chihuahua is Mexico’s second most important forest state with a long history of forest management and a strong presence of indigenous peoples involved in forest management. They will be talking about the current status of forest management in Chihuahua and elsewhere in Mexico.
