Become the Grad Student Symposium Forestry co-coordinator!

Each year the Forestry, Fisheries, & Geomatics grad students put together a Graduate Student Symposium (GSS) as part of SFRC Spring Celebration at Austin Cary Forest. This fun event is an opportunity for grads to present their research in front of peers, faculty, and alumni. This year the GSS will be on April 11.What would I have to do?As co-coordinator you would be working closely with the Fisheries co-coordinator. The primary duties of the co-coordinators are to correspond with SFRC Faculty and Staff about planning the event and recruiting volunteers to present and be symposium moderators. It is light (and fun) work with past year's planning resources at your fingertips and a co-coordinator from Fisheries! Why?Becoming co-coordinator is a great opportunity for networking and an excellent resume booster. Remember, many internal and external fellowships often consider service to the department when awarding funding.
