Go to FamilySearch collection: Actes de mariage Paris, France 1860-1918 and find the name in the index. Then proceed using the steps below.
Civil records for Paris from 1860-1901 are available online at this link: Paris Civil Records. Use this procedure to locate the record of interest.
Note: Indexes to civil records are available for later years, but the documents for the later years are not online.
Search the 10-years indexes to find the name and the date of the person you are interested in locating in registers. Click on "accedez aux tables decennales"
From the drop down menus choose from births, marriages, or deaths.
Choose the 10-year time period you need to search.
There are 20 arrondissements. Choose the arrondisement you need. If this information is not known, you will need to search in each arrondisement until you find the name of interest.
Enter the name, such as "Nollet" to limit the pages in the index you need to search. Click on "Rechercher" which will take you to the correct page. Click on the image that looks like an "eyeball" to search through the images.
Find the name of interest and write down the date given, such as "7 Jan 1867"
Click on the "X" at the top to return (retour) to previous page, or press the backspace on your keyboard.
Continue to press the backspace until you return to the original page.
Choose to search the actual registers with the information (name and date) you have obtained from the 10 year index. Click on "accedez aux registres d'actes".
Use the drop down menu to choose the time period and the arrondissement needed.
Write the date in this way: 30/09/1902 [day, month, year]
Click on the "eyeball" to see the images. You will need to look through the pages until you find the name and entry of interest.
