Daylesford Highland Gathering - December 1984

Simon Boyle had a broken arm, and could not play in this contest. However, he did accompany us on the trip. Liam Craig was also missing from our line-up because he couldn't make it that weekend. With only seven pipers, it was always going to be very tough to beat the excellent opposition in Victoria, and it was no surprise that we were not placed.

In the Street March contest, we played Jim Cottnam's own composition "Blairbegg" and I thought it sounded very good indeed.

The Pipers:

Angus Massie(sen), Alan Dodds, Angus Massie (jun), Peter Cameron, Peter Whitehead, David Cottnam, Stewart Kearney, Craig McAinsh.

The Drummers:

Marshall Hamon (D. Major), Sides - Tony Krelle, Karl Krelle, Peter Crookes, Robert Cottnam, Bass - Jim Cottnam, Colin Cottnam, Ray Jones, Michael Niven and his brother ?? Niven.
