Budgeting — the Board has worked on identifying both basic operating budget and a long-term budget to accommodate infrastructure needs. At this time, we have identified the following needs:
Lochmoor Path — replacement is schedule to take place in 2016. This path is concrete, sloped and extremely slippery in the winter. The path will be replaced with crushed gravel, similar to the Brae Burn and Normandy trails.
Trail Head Improvements — over the next three years, we will be working to improve the trailheads. Currently, the majority of the trailheads are not maintained. This project will focus on developing a low-maintenance approach while at the same time increasing curb appeal.
Bridge over Lochmoor Culvert — construction of a bridge over an existing culvert is planned for 2019.
Brae Burn Loop Redesign — 2020 is the projected timeline for redesigning this portion of the common area. A concrete loop at the end of the Brae Burn trail will either need to be replaced or redesigned.
Board Roles and Responsibilities — the Board has created a set of tasks required for EWPA operations. To learn more what the EWPA Board does, you can review the tasks, and the associated descriptions, timelines, and point person are available online. Click here to view the document.
Bulk Mailing — In years past, board members laboriously spent hours folding, stuffing, mailing invoices, newsletters, and other items. We have transitioned to a bulk mailing service provided by the Springfield School District's PrintShop so that we can provide a PDF and addresses of what we need mailed. This has saved much time and effort and resulted in efficient mailings to our members.
