Trail Repaving Project - The neighborhood trail which begins at approximately 310 Braeburn and runs between Lochmoor Place and Brookside Drive (see Trail Maps) was repaved in February this year. The eroding asphalt was removed and replaced with crushed rock edged with logs to form a surface that is much nicer to walk on, drains water efficiently, and will last much longer. This work was carried out by local trail builder Bruce Maederer who did a terrific job. The board has received numerous positive reports on this improvement. Be sure to walk this new path and enjoy the upgrade.
Traffic Safety Project - We have installed 12 traffic control signs around the neighborhood requesting drivers keep their pace to 25 miles per hour. The response to these warning signs has been very positive. Help keep our pristine neighborhood safe for all by observing the speed limit.
Neighborhood Work Party - On April 27, 2013, we held our annual trail cleanup project to clear the common areas of debris and unwanted growth. Despite the low turnout, a significant amount of undergrowth and dead wood was moved out the the streets and hauled away. This effort improves our trails substantially and reduces fire hazard during the warm summer months. We invite all residents to consider joining us next year to assist with this important work.
