Coordinator of the project “Improving the performance of wood based materials through the application of thermal modification techniques”.

Coordination and management of activities to provide materials to perform lab activities.

Organization and management of lab activities to perform thermal modification of samples under atmospheric pressure or vacuum as well as their test, in order to quantify the impact of temperature and heating time on physical, mechanical and technological properties of composite wood products.

Identified and specified the parameters of the laboratory equipment provided in the framework of the project “The impact of the application of thermal modification methods on the technological properties of wood and wood based materials”.

Coordination with Slovenian partners of the Project (professors of the Department of Wood Science and Technology of the University of Ljubljana), regarding the training topics of Albanian professors in Slovenia (Ljubljana), in order to increase their training capacities.

Training of technicians of Albanian wood processing companies on a series of issues, starting from the typology of wood composites used by furniture production sector, to their added value processes (lacquering, coating etc.).

Member of the project “The impact of the thinning of beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) and black pine (Pinus nigra Arn.) forests on the forest environment and the quality of the wood material”.

Identified wood-boring insects of 4 icons of Middle-age Museum of Berati, selected to be restored.

Evaluated the suitable method of insects’ elimination and provided respective tools and equipment.

Taught and assisted the specialists of the Museum how to use the equipment to eliminate detected insects.

Administered and managed trainings in regard with communal and private forestry development.

Provided training to communal forest technicians and administrators on a wide range of issues, ranging from policies of management to product marketing.

Developed and conducted a workshop for representatives of communal forestry associations about essentials of administrative procedures in the framework of new developments of the forest law in Albania, including understanding, preparation and submission of legal documentation.
