Memories...

Memories of a space

There was a place, in that now vacant space,

A nightclub they called Van's.

Much evil was there, in that now vacant space,

In the nightclub they called Van's.

Hard drugs and hard women combined in that space,

In the nightclub they called Van's.

A man shot and killed in that now vacant space,

A policeman shot there too.

I could have been killed in that now vacant space,

In that dangerous place they called Van's.

I pointed my gun, in defense of my life,

In that dangerous place they called Van's.

My policeman's badge was shown no respect,

In that nightclub they called Van's.

So I broke a mans bones, in that now vacant space,

The nightclub they called Van's.

And now its gone, only razed space remains,

No more evil there will be done.

There is no wall, to inscribe it all,

And only my memories remain.
