Definition
Educator uses instructional tasks that are clear and accurate and consistently support the development of understanding; teaching to multiple learning styles with ease.
Educator is a leader in presenting instructional components that go beyond the teaching of basic knowledge to include comprehension, application, analysis, evaluation, and synthesis.
Rationale
I try to ensure that my lessons and assignments bear in mind a multi-faceted learner and a multi-dimensional classroom. Just as no two individual students are the same, I have also come to learn that no two classes are ever really the same. It is important for my students to know that their education is designed to meet their unique needs and goals. At the same time, for the sake of horizontal and vertical alignment, it is important that course outcomes are met using differentiation pedagogical strategies.
To that end, my aim is to provide the students entrusted to my care with multiple possibilities within assignments and projects to meet unit goals and course outcomes. The assessments connected to these assignments are designed to allow students to be successful in meeting the multiple modalities of Bloom’s Taxonomy using the evaluative criteria I have set out.
