A Procedure when figuring out your Recipes
Step 1: Make a dissolving-table
The first thing you have to do when trying to make a recipe is to write down the ingredients and their dissolvant. Then dissolve 1 kind of herb in the solvant and write down what colour liquid or tea results.
If 2 or more herbs are used in your recipe then add 2 herbs to a container and add 1 drop of solvant and write down what colour results. Try this for every combination with 2 herbs.
If even more herbs are used write also down which reactions results with combinations of 3 herbs and solvants.
Also write down what colour liquid results when you add all herbs and 1 drop of solvant, this is the colour you want to get.
Step 2:Getting the first results:
Now add quite from every herb you will use a reasonably big amount in a large bottle and add solvent. If you see floaters you probably know that you have added too much of that kind of herb into your liquid. If you see a colour of liquid which results from adding only 2 herbs to a solution, you probably know you will need to add more of the other herb. Try adding and removing herbs until you have found a recipe without floaters and only the good kind of liquid resulting : D
An Example:
Brewing Energy Tea
Note: the amount of herbs below are fictional, you will have to find out the recipe yourselves but this example can help I hope ; )
Step 1
I know coffee beans, ginger and borage are needed to brew this tea. So I start with dissolving them one by one:
Volumes in pinches and drops again:
1 coffee beans + 1 water = 2 black coffee
1 borage + 1 water = 2 sickly green tea
1 ginger + 1 water = 2 yellow brown tea
So now we know 3 solutions
Now we add 2 herbs with solvant and write down the result:
1 coffee + 1 borage + 1 water = 3 lurid green tea
1 coffee + 1 ginger + 1 water = 3 pallid yellow tea
1 ginger + 1 borage + 1 water = 3 sickly green tea
So now we fill in these which results in:
Then we find the colour of the correct mix with:
1 coffee + 1 borage + 1 ginger + 1 water = 4 cloudy yellow tea
So we remember:
Correct Mix before brewing: Cloudy Yellow Tea
Now we can proceed to step 2 : D
Step 2
Now we add a random amount of herbs to a bottle and add water:
In this example I try;
-----
5 borage
15 ginger
20 coffee
then fill it with water which results in:
two cups of cloudy yellow tea - good, all herbs have reacted
one cup of pallid yellow tea - ginger + coffee, not enough borage
five ounces of lurid green tea - borage + coffee, not enough ginger
five ounces of bright yellow-green tea - borage + ginger, not enough coffee
-----
So you can see now that we already have 2 cups of the good tea, but need a few more herbs, probably we need borage most, since there's a lot of pallid yellow tea. So next time we add some more coffee and ginger and quite a bit more borage.
-----
8 borage
18 ginger
21 coffee
then fill it with water which results in:
two pints of cloudy yellow tea - Good
three ounces of bright yellow-green tea - borage + ginger, more coffee needed
one pinch of ground borage swimming - Too much borage
----
So probably we've added too much borage this time and we'll need more coffee, so this time we reduce borage and increase the amount of coffee : )
----
7 borage
18 ginger
25 coffee
then fill it with water which results in:
two pints of cloudy yellow tea - Good
some ground ginger - 'count ginger in bottle' results in 1 pinch of ginger
two pinches of coffee grounds - Too much coffee
one pinch of ground borage - Too much borage
----
So after counting the ginger, we try to put 1 pinch less ginger, 2 pinches less coffee and 1 pinch less borage in our tea which results in:
----
6 borage
17 ginger
23 coffee
then fill it with water which results in:
The large red bottle is completely full with two pints of cloudy yellow tea.
----
So now you know your perfect recipe! Congrats and good luck with devising your own recipe. I have modified the numbers in this example a bit so you can find out your recipe by yourselves for increased fun. Good luck!

antidote tea
1 handful arachnid, 1 handful basil, 1 handful fennel = two cups of water, mixed with some octarine elixir and six ounces of muddy tea
1 h arachnid, 2 h basil, 2 h fennel = half full with one cup of light green tea, mixed with one cup of muddy tea and some octarine elixir
37 pinches fennel + 2 c water = one pint of water, mixed with three ounces of pale yellow tea = nothing
