Pose and Illumination invariant face recognition

The main challenges of face recognition are pose and illumination variation. Whenever, a slight change in pose or illumination changes the appearance of the face that increases the complexity in the face recognition. Here, Active appearance model (AAM) is used for the feature extraction from the faces with different poses and illuminations. The extracted features are used to train an artificial neural network (ANN).
