ABOUT CHACHO www.ChachoUSA.com
WINNER 2023 BEST OF DC! Best distillery! Best margarita! Chacho is an aguardiente liquor inspired by the national spirit of Colombia. Locally made in DC for more than 6 years and available nationwide in 11 states (more coming soon!), Chacho has a unique jalapeño flavor that starts smooth and finishes with a hint of heat. During the pandemic, founder Dan Ziegler built the bar almost entirely by hand, with the help of family and friends, and opened Chacho’s first brick-and-mortar home in the spring of 2021. That year, Chacho was a runner-up in 5 categories of “Best of DC:” Best bar, best distillery, best new bar, best margarita, and best bloody mary. Dan discovered the liquor during an epic vacation, drunk at midnight and riding a llama through the streets of Bogotá. He was inspired to bring the unique flavor and culture of aguardiente from Colombia back to the United States. The llama’s name was Chacho.
