Viewing This Site in White
White letters on a dark background is sometimes difficult to read. There are add-ins for Google Chrome browser that allow for viewing webpages in black and white. The following links are examples of add-ins which may potentially improve viewing this site's pages for the visually impaired :
High Contrast: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/high-contrast/djcfdncoelnlbldjfhinnjlhdjlikmph High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text. When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while you browse.
Grayscale Tool: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/grayscale-tool/odolflphhameojgliipcnahnipmogigo Originally intended for web designers who might want to test the contrast of their content by changing to grayscale, but this extension can really be used by anyone who for some reason want to remove the colors of a web page. The grayscale feature persists between page loads, and the key shortcut to activate can be customized in the options. The downside is that you need to activate it on every page, and the shortcut is shift+g, which does not work if you're in a text field. And any time you click something, you get colors again.
Page Filter Effects: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/apnbkmkpchabofhbnmhbdbnlpkbcomkg Fun effects for same old sites. You can make any site Blur, Greyscale, Sepia, Bright, Invert using this tool. The add-in has a button you can click. Needs to be activated per-page.
