An appropriate Symbolic Framework is a way of connecting adults and young people, of firing the collective imagination, of creating a common ground of symbols and visual ideas appropriate to the developmental stage or progress of the young person. Adults fire the imagination of young people, young people inspire adults. Example: A comic style "Scout book" for 9 year olds rather than a manual, helping the young person to better engage their imagination.
