Land of the Nile

The Egyptians lived in Northern Africa where the climate is very hot.

The only source of water is from the River Nile. The Egyptians learned very quickly to use the water from the Nile to grow their crops. They developed crops such as flax, which they used to make clothes.

Architects, engineers, scribes, astronomers and medics were among some of the members of Egyptian society. Some of the most famous buildings are the Pyramids.
