Private Groups & Parties
The Copper Country Curing Club is available for group events and private parties. Curling is a fun and unique activity for a company party, family & friends activity, church group, sports team event, etc. A session lasts 2 hours (approximately 1/2 hour of instruction and 1.5 hours of curling.
Facility:
We have a large 20' by 30' seating area with a full kitchen (so you can bring your own snacks & beverages, order pizza, etc.). Plenty of parking is available in front of our building or in the school parking lot.
Cost:
$200 per group for a two hour session. ($10 per person if over 20 people)
$100 per group for local school groups for a 2 hour session. ($5 per person if over 20 people)
Group Size:
Groups are typically between 6-20 people, however the ideal group size is 16 which allows for two games of four on four on our two rinks. The ice gets crowded with groups over 20 players and can diminish the experience for everyone.
What is Provided:
All equipment needed to curl (brooms, sliders, grippers) is provided. Participants will spend approximately 30 minutes learning the basics of curling and the remainder of the time is spent playing a friendly game of curling. Instruction is provided by certified curling instructors with USA Curling.
What You Should Wear:
Participants should bring (not wear) a pair of clean gym shoes or other soft bottom shoes/boots to wear on the ice. Hard soled shoes or boots are too slippery for the ice. Warm, loose-fitting clothing is recommended. Clothing worn for cross country skiing is also perfect for curling.
Participants are required to sign a liability waiver (provided at the club) in order to be out on the ice. Anyone under 18 MUST have the form signed by a parent or guardian. The waivers are required by our insurance policy with USA Curling. Blank waivers are available at the club, or contact us for the form in advance.
Can Anyone Curl?
For the most part, YES however if someone has balance issues we recommend that they do not go on the ice for safety reasons. Also, while we often work with youth groups we have found that children in 6th grade and under have a difficult time.

Facility Rental
Facility Rental is available for experienced curlers only. It is acceptable to have a few non-curlers in the group, however Facility Rental is not available to groups of mostly non-curlers, as we do not include instruction.
The ice will be ready for play at the beginning of each day, however ice maintenance (mopping, pebbling, and nipping) throughout the day will be the responsibility of the group.
Cost:
Single Day: 10am until 10pm or any portion thereof, $400.
Full Weekend: 5pm Friday until 5pm Sunday, excluding the hours of 10pm until 10am each day, $700.
