Final Grant photos

The Copper Country Curling Club and Calumet Township would like to thank everyone who supported the Drill Shop fundraiser. The generous donations and positive support we received from the local community and across the United States and Canada was overwhelming. 

A total of $65,000 was raised during Drill Shop fundraiser; $33,000 was raised via donations and $32,000 was from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation matching grant. 

The main goals for the project were: (photos below) 

1. Upgrade the electrical service, wiring, lighting and heating system within the building. 

2. Create a large community room for all building users. 

3. Add a handicap accessible entrance to the building. 

4. Pour a cement floor from the entrance to the community room.
