Membership

At the bottom of this page are links to download the 2014 Copper Country Curling Club Membership Application, and the Minor Participant Release Form. Both forms are downloadable PDF files with several options for filling them out.

Tuesday and Thursday Leagues are back as before. There will be a Wednesday Night Instructional League again this year. This league will be open ONLY to those with 2 years of curling experience or less. If you pay full dues on the membership form, you are not eligible for this night.

The purpose of the Wednesday League is to help the new curlers understand the rules of curling, delivery basics and strategy. Teams will consist only of 2 year or less experience players, BUT there will be a knowledgeable, veteran curler present to instruct and guide you.

Monday night will still be reserved for all individuals with "Student" memberships.

DUES AND MEMBERSHIP FORM

Below is this year's  Membership form. Like last year, it is a PDF that you may fill in, sign electronically, pay your dues with a credit card via the PayPal link beneath the "Total Due", email the form and you are done.

OR you can do all of that except pay via PayPal, print off you form and mail in the form with your check to:

Gary Lassila

57126 Calumet Ave

Calumet, MI 49913

We still offer a 10% discount for early dues payment. This has been one of the most underutilized benefits in the past few years. If you pay your dues in full by November 1, a significant portion of the dues increases mentioned above are erased. In addition, paying early makes it MUCH easier on those of us who have to collect dues, because we don't have to spend the first few weeks of the season chasing everyone down and hassling you to pay up.

Pay early and everyone is happier.

SLIDERS

We are discontinuing the free availability of sliders this year. If you have been using club sliders in the past, sorry. We simply cannot afford to provide what should be, and in every other curling club I know of IS, a piece of personal equipment.

This year the club sliders will be made available for the first few weeks of the curling season (allowing new curlers to order and receive theirs). Probably about the third week, the club sliders will be put into storage for exclusive use of guests who rent our facility for parties.

Please note that there is a slider check off on the Membership form. We have purchased a supply of sliders that you can buy from us. If you prefer, there are a number of curling suppliers on line.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

As in the past, you can pay by check or cash. New this year a PayPal payment option.

PayPal

On the form beneath, the "TOTAL" is a button with the familiar PayPal "Buy Now".

1) Pressing that button will take you directly to the PayPal log-in page on your browser, and a form to submit payment for "Copper Country Curling Club Membership" will be shown.

2) Enter the amount you need to pay on the left half of the page, and press "Update".

3) If you have a PayPal account already, simply log in. If you do not have a PayPal account and would like to open one, you have that option.

4) Then press "PayNow" and you are done. Be sure to print a receipt for your records.

Cash

If you pay by cash, please put the money in an envelope with your name on the outside or enclose your membership form with the cash. DO NOT HAND US CASH and expect us to remember who gave it to us. The majority of all dues issues over the past few years have come from that exact action.

Members under the age of 18

If you are under 18 years of age, you MUST have a waiver form signed by your parent or guardian. Download the Minor Participant Release form, fill in all fields and have a parent or guardian either print off, hand-sign, and mail to the address above, or digitally sign and email to president@coppercountrycurlingclub.com.
