Chippewa County Sheriff Deputies were called to a 5 Mile Road residence Sunday afternoon to investigate a domestic assault.
According to reports, a woman was using a hair dryer in the bathroom when the man kicked in the door knocking her to the ground. A teen attempted to intervene on behalf of his mother only to be thrown against the wall.
The suspect in this incident, Michael A. Themel, 44, of the Sault admitted he forced the door open to take away the hair dryer explaining that he doesn't allow the woman to utilize the device because it uses electricity and he has to pay for it.
Themel was booked into the Chippewa County Jail on a domestic violence charge.
