Snowflakes Everywhere - 3

Snowflakes to display at your windows and decorate your home

  • Celebrating the snow that will be with us soon. AND the 518 Snowflake Hunt

  • We have created a few snowflake inspired crafts - this is the third one

  • This one needs 8 large paper sandwich bags a pencil, scissors and glue

This is a gift worthy one and much more than the sum of its parts. Big bold and beautiful.

Step by Step

  1. First you will need 8 paper bags. White or natural colored both work very well, as well as a combination. You can get a bag of 40 at the dollar tree, that makes 5 for $1 !

  2. Turn them all so the part that folds out to make the bottom of the bag is underneath and the opening is at the top

  3. Using strong school glue make an upside down T shape in glue on the bag.

  4. Place another bag into, opening at the top bottom underneath, and line up as perfectly as possible.

Do this for all 8 and then leave to dry for about an hour.

5. Design your snowflake. This is the design we chose. Simple is the best as you are cutting through 8 bags at once and that is quite tough.

6. Cut out the design, or ask a strong grownup to help.

7. Gently open out, or shake open your design and carefully pull the first point around to meet the last.

You can either glue the 2 sides together and display OR punch a hole through the top to points and tread a little cotton through to hang, this will mean it can be flattened for storage until next year as well or packaged as a beautiful gift for family or a friend.

If you are feeling really fancy you can glue and dip the edges in glitter for a really fancy snowflake but this brings a guaranteed WOW factor just as it is.

More Crafts are coming your way soon, keep your eye out and we will have more ways to collect craft-a-long packets and more in store to help you through this special year.
