For the love of LOVE

To celebrate Valentines day Feb 14th


  • Celebrate everyone you card for with our heart craft

  • This craft needs a few sheets of colored construction paper (or paper you can color), scissors and glue

Step by Step

  1. First you will need 2 sheets of construction paper. We used blue in the make pictures so you can see easily. But you can use any combination of colors you like.

  2. Measure and cut 1.5 inches wide strips (3.5cm) down the page.

  3. Cut these lengths into:

    1. 2 x 4 inches (10cm)

    2. 2 x 6 inches (15cm)

    3. 2 x 8 inches (20cm), you should be able to get these strips from the leftover

on the 4 inch strips)

    1. 2 x 12 inch (25cm) dark blue

  2. line them up as shown below, in size order so they step down to the center and then up again.

  3. Then stack them on top of one another in the same order for the 2 shortest are on top (facing up) in 2 piles

  4. Lastly bring these 2 piles together so that the longest to are together and the shortest 2 are on the outer sides of the pile

7. Staple all the pieces together at the bottom, where all their lengths meet.

8. Then bring same length pieces down to meet each other to form the 'heart' shape and staple together until all the hearts are formed

Valentines Card Extra

A printable card extra to color and give to someone important.

Hang this from a tree, hand it to someone you care about or make more of them and join them together to make a garland of hearts.

Try them in all the shades of the rainbow enjoy and Happy Valentines Day.
