IF you grabbed at kit great everything is in there (apart from a glue stick)
Join in without a craft-a-long kit
otherwise you will need the template sheet, coloring equipment or colored construction paper, some scraps of tissue paper, scissors, pencil and a glue stick
Print out the templates and create one or both of the fall sun catchers
Print out your template and either color and cut out the template or trace onto construction paper and cut out (If you managed to find the craft-a-long kit this is done for you.)
Your main cut out shapes should look like this --->
(Kit only - turn over and carefully peel off the backing paper. Lay down the shapes sticky side up toward you) IF you are making this without a kit run a good layer of glue stick all around the edge of the shape
Taking pieces of tissue paper (either in your kit or something you have at home) stick pieces in random places around the shape. Overlap and keep adding glue to stick all the pieces down well. Don't worry if they look messy at this stage this will look beautiful in the end.
2. Preparing for sticking
3. Lots of glue and over lapped tissue paper
4. When all the pieces of tissue paper are randomly stuck down turn it over and trim the excess tissue paper off
5. Kit ONLY - The clear film piece you will find in the kit should be glued on the back of the finished sun catcher to hold of the pieces in place
All the pieces stuck down
Turn it over and trim the excess tissue paper
6. Step 5 is not necessary, continue to add the top of the acorn or the leaves and a hole in the top with twine or yarn to hang it by the window to complete the project.
