Folded Fall Leaves

It's all about the beautiful colors of leaves today.

YOU WILL NEED

  1. To print the template sheets for the leaves.

  2. You will also need a pencil, scissors, fall colored construction paper and a staple gun

  3. If you have a small piece of pipe cleaner this works well to complete the leaf

Step by Step

First of all download and print the templates.

This is the Maple Leaf pattern.

  1. Cut out and trace the template onto some fall colored construction paper

  2. Cut out the construction paper version and fold in half (then unfold and lay flat)

  3. Then starting at either the top or the bottom fold in approximately 1/2 inch folds.

3. folding the construction paper

4. Pinch together the center and fold in half

5. Staple or glue the longer sides together, at the fold to form the leaf shape.

Now you could try and make the other leaves from the templates. You can make a Beech leaf and a Sycamore Leaf. The Sycamore leaf is quiet a challenge.
