Sketches

One of the basic building types for a vessel fit for living aboard would be where the walls of the living quarters are made of sliding windows to keep the open feel.

Blinds would be there for insulation, privacy and anti-burglary.Click on a picture for a better impression.

A sustainable vessel, capable of harvesting it 's own energy for propulsion and living, as well as harvesting it 's own water. This while keeping minimal maintenance and full modularity.

This model is designed with for example the french rivers and canals in mind: so draft, hight above waterline, width are in function of bridges and locks one would actually encounter on such a voyage.

A few highlights:

    • This is a possible layout, where the cabin is designed based on the tiny house movement and placed under a retractable cover.
    • This retractable cover will keep one immersed in the environment but shelter over 50 m² from the elements if so desired.
    • The garden doubles as a biofilter for making this vessel as zero-impact as possible by also filtering the water.
    • For a vessel like this, with an unlimeted range because the electric propulsion is solar powered, expect to pay about €100.000.
