I joined the United States Air Force and became a Morse Code Intercept Operator. My duty stations were in Peshawar Air Station, Pakistan and Clark Air Base Philippines. Our mission was tracking Soviet and Communist Chinese aircraft both military and commercial. These pictures show my nerd coworkers while we were in the Philippines. The pictures were classified material back in the day but they are all over the internet now so I guess it's okay to show them. After the Air Force I was employed with the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier. I retired in 2003 at age fifty-five and have enjoyed retirement since the first day. My wife Katherine and I have five children and six grandchildren. She just celebrated her fiftieth class reunion and I hope ours will be as historic as hers.
