After graduating from the historic Booker T. Washington High School in1966, I attended Clark College majoring in Business Administration where I met my husband, David Holt of 38 years. We have 3 children David Jr., Anthony, and Adrianne. We also raised a niece, LaTonya whose mother died at a very early age. Before returning to the Atlanta area, we lived in Springfield, IL and Macon, GA. In 1979 we decided to purchase 2 Blimpie franchises on Roswell Road and successfully ran them for 15 years.
In 1994, we opened a new concept daVIDO's $3.75 Pizza featuring hot wings, cheese steaks, and pizza in Lithonia. daDVIDO's has become famous for the "best lemon pepper wings" in metro Atlanta and won best pizza in east metro 3 years in a row. We currently have 3 licensed locations in east Atlanta. We are very involved in the community giving free pizzas every semester to DeKalb students on Principal and A-B Honor Rolls.
I am currently divorced but continue to work with my ex in our business. My oldest son, David Jr. lives in DC, Anthony is assisting in running the family business, and Adrianne and LaTonya both live in the Atlanta area. I am extremely blessed with 2 grandsons, Tre and PJ who are the shinning light of my life. I thank God for this wonderful life he has given me and blessing me to see all my fellow classmates on this 50th class reunion.
