LT. CMDR Ejona Raiger

The son of a former super-soldier and a scientist, Ejona grew up in a time when Angosian culture was adapting to the changes brought about the super-soldier revolt. His father was involved in advocating for the soldiers' integration into society, and Ejona and his family bore the brunt of the initial suspicion and hostility of the general population on Angosia. At his mother's suggestion, he found a refuge in science and took a particular interest in chemistry. After he completed his education on Angosia, he joined Starfleet to give back to the Federation which had played a large, though inadvertent, role in the transformation of Angosian society.

Ejona takes pride in being a generalist science officer and is comfortable working in all the natural sciences. He has a strong enthusiasm for exploration but is more interested in moving on to the next discovery rather than studying the new find in great detail. A decade's worth of service in the Delta Quadrant has matured Ejona into a more cautious and introspective person that he was when he first beamed aboard Discovery. He engages in Angosian calligraphic painting as a meditative practice and enjoys a bottle (or three) of good wine with friends.
