Alan Savage was born in 1930 in the West Indies unter the name Christopher Nicole. The British author Christopher Nicole writes a lot of historical fiction. including the bestselling five-volume Caribee series, the Berkeley series and his epic Russian novels, all from Severn House.

He has won international acclaim for his work under several pseudonyms, including Max Marlow, Andrew York and Alan Savage.

Christopher Nicole lives with his wife, Diana, also a novelist, on one of the Channel Islands.
