BEPSII meeting - April 3-5, 2017 at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography, La Jolla, San Diego

Post date: Dec 13, 2016 3:23:14 PM

The annual meeting of Biogeochemical Processes at Sea Ice Interfaces (BEPSII) will be held April 3-5, 2017, at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography, La Jolla, San Diego, the week after the Gordon Research Conference in Ventura. The 2017 BEPSII meeting will include the launch and 1st meeting of the new SCOR working group on Measuring Essential Climate Variables in Sea Ice (ECV-ice). The meeting will be a combination of overview and new science talks, posters, and discussion sessions. Here's a very rough draft of an agenda to give you an idea of the format of the workshop.

If you plan to participate, please add your information to the form at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Sbc_h5P4hDF-2lTxXp-y4GtvHw7cvWbDBIwp4kZVJMM/edit?usp=sharing

If you wish to present at the meeting, please include a title and indicate whether you would prefer a talk or a poster, before January 15, 2017. If more people want to give talks than the schedule can accommodate, the BEPSII steering committee will select the talks. If you would like to hold a break-out discussion session on a specific topic, please also note that on the spreadsheet.

We have limited travel funds available from our sponsors SOLAS, CLIC, SCAR, and IASC. If you do require travel support please indicate that in a separate form, which can be accessed from the Google form above.

We suggest the La Jolla Shores Hotel for accommodation and we have reserved a block of rooms.
