Arboretum

The Belipola arboretum is gene bank of plant and tree species from all over the world, especially from countries at the equatorial belt. These species have been brought to Belipola over a span of 30 years and have been climatised in Sri Lanka, and now provide food and income to the center. They are also interesting species to study and provide an excellent base for research, in forest ecosystems, restoration, Analog Forestry and photosynthetic biomass to name a few.
