Help is on the way, in the form of tree trimming!!! Michael Dobbs, District Forest Manager for AEP was contacted last week by one of our members, about the trees surrounding the Historic McClanahan House. We knew it would be expensive to trim, but Mr. Dobbs has generously donated machinery and manpower to trim the trees encroaching the Historical house!! Such an awesome blessing, as we know this can be a very expensive to do. The balcony we are standing here needs to be repaired on the west side, we stood on the east side for the shot. All is coming together and because of AEP's awesome contribution to helping communities, this will be one less thing the Bee County Historical Society needs to worry about. We are concentrating on the porch and balcony repair. If anyone would like to make a tax deductible donation to the McClanahan House repairs, please don't hesitate to contact us.
