Sara Casas, A.C. Jones senior and FFA president held a Halloween party at her home and invited FFA Club members to participate in collecting canned goods for the Vineyard. The club members and friends collected more than 140 pounds of food. The project was a huge success. Casas and her FFA group then brought the food over to the McClanahan House to combine it with the food collection there. Shown at right is the food that was collected as a joint effort of the Beeville FFA and Bee County Historical Society’s Christmas Tree Forest event. Approximately 300 pounds of canned goods and nonperishables were donated by those coming to see the forest. All were taken to the Beeville Vineyard for later distribution.
