The “votes” were counted. Up until the morning of 12/15/14, we hadn’t tallied all the “votes” so at 4:30pm, the results were in, and the following were the winners of this year’s Christmas display. All the trees were fantastic, so it was a hard choice for folks!!!! The Historic McClanahan House was tremendously blessed by YOU, the public, with a little over $490 dollars with this event. This is just AWESOME, $187.00 over last year’s donations. This will help to keep the house bills and maintenance costs paid. All funds collected by the House are thru private donations or membership dues. We do not receive any supplemental funding from other venues. Every event we hold is for the upkeep and maintenance of this very precious part of Bee County’s history, without it, the house would be in bad shape. Currently, we will be applying for federal funding to attempt to repair the outside porch that has some rotting due to water damage. We will be having more fund raisers during the 2015 year. If you are proud of the Oldest Business Structure in our County, please think about donating to the house, we are 501c3 non-profit, all donations are tax deductible. Thank YOU ALL for supporting your historical roots!!! Here is our secure PayPal donation link: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=XV4CGGFRBDW7N
