There are several useful tools to improve basic social and affective skills between self and other that involve hand held devices such as ipods. These devices together with web-based software improve the ability for therapists and teachers to monitor affect and social behaviors and record data that can be shared with the student. This data in turn helps the student recognise the behaviors, label and understand them, and then the software can cue them to use strategies that will help reduce the negative and increase positive behaviors.
