The pictures that I shared this week were all taken after dark: with the daylight saving time adjustments, “Fall Back” forces or encourages us to photograph outdoors without sunlight. One of the appeals of the night photography is the ease to preserve the anonymity of people as silhouettes; the other interesting aspect consists of reflections in the window display.

With inclement weather, like the first snow, I feel more comfortable to use a “tough” camera such as Olympus T-5; but in other circumstances, I resort to various Fujifilm gear: X100T, X-T10 or now X-T2. In many cases, I find easier to work in manual mode during the night to obtain the effect I have in mind.
