In addition the dislike for magic aggravated many of them as they were spellcasters who supported the fights against creatures that attacked. Finally a dwarven oracle of Avani rose up and offered to lead the way to a new home for those wished to take the risk. Most of the dwarves laughed the oracle, but almost all of the spell casters chose to follow him.
He led them from the mountains and across a burning desert. Though those who followed were wary they pressed on. Within the desert they treated with elves, felarians, and even genie kin. Finally they came to an expanse of water. Here he stated they would build the city that would become the capitol of a new nation built on cooperation of all the inhabitants and magic.
The city has never fallen for the dwarves did not leave their craftsmanship behind. They simply added magic to the mix. They also added in alliances with various races of the desert. In exchange the desert has embraced the new nation and given it a chance to thrive.
