History:
The elves of Donravan are a proud traditional people. From their area came all the elves of the world. This has led to a major ego on their part, but on their hand this also puts almost all of elven history in one place. The elves here believe it is their duty to preserve elven culture, history and lore. As such they cling to old traditions that both help and harm them. They value magic over all things and prefer the arcane over the divine. The only exception are druids who they value just as highly.
The elves also tried to expand into the north to kill some lycans who had escaped their death sentence. This caused another culture shock as the tundra elves and dwarves sided with the lycans and humans. Their fight there led to the humans finally forming a rough kingdom.
The elves of Donravan hold a deep animosity against the desert and tundra elves. Calling them traitors to the throne and insisting they will be punished eventually. They also retain a hatred of Felarians and blame them for all the failed wars and the divisions in elven culture.
Government:
The elves of Donravan have a monarchy that is advised by a council of the most powerful mages in the kingdom. There is also a seat for the most powerful Druid in the region, but it has been vacant since the first war. The leader of the elves is almost exclusively a female. A male may hold the throne only if there is no viable female to hold the throne. The ruler must always be able to trace their lineage to the very first Queen or they cannot hold the throne.
Places of Interest
Brethil: The capital of Donravan is crafted of many trees that provide the palace and homes of the people. The palace is a massive birch that is silver in color. The city is almost fully crafted of living trees and the roads are clear and even. There are many shops dedicated to magic here and almost anything related to magic can be found here.
There is a massive temple to Taya here. It is still attended but slowly showing signs of abandonment.
Kerta Hwesta: A city designed exclusively for the druids. Here one can find signs that the city is flourishing. It is also the only place where divine magic holds sway. The druids and clerics hold council monthly to determine the direction of the city. The druids and clerics currently plot a civil war to take the elven throne by force. The city is less bound by tradition and as such seems more lively if people have been to Brethil first.
