4th annual BLOOMIN’ MARVELLOUS COMPETITION

Judging Saturday 28 July 2018

This year there are three separate sections in the competition – each section will be awarded a First, Second and Third prize. The sections are:

Most beautiful single container in the village

Most colourful and attractive arrangement of containers within a garden

Most beautiful Bloomin’ street

1 Single Container

Use any container you like – tub, window box, hanging basket, trough, barrel, bowl, box – whatever you have that you can grow something in. There are no formal requirements or strict rules as to size or what plants you can use and no particular theme. We are just looking for something Bloomin’ Marvellous.

2 Use of containers within a garden

So many of you create such a wonderful range of containers it makes it hard to single out one. This section is therefore looking for the loveliest arrangement and use of containers to enhance your garden as a whole or your entrance.

3 Street Competition

Why not get together with your neighbours and enter for the best Street, Wynd, Road. It need not be the whole street just a group entering together.

Calling young gardeners!

We are keen to encourage young people to enter. There will be a special prize for the Best Under 16 Container.

Judging will take place on saturday 28 July

To enter, just complete the attached entry form PLEASE Return it by 1 July to one of the addresses on the form. Look out for our posters too.
