A social enterprise in Exeter is looking to offer free internships for students, Exeter Residents aged 18+ who are actively looking to gain practical-hands-on-skills and experience that will in turn help us towards establishing an alternative technology eduction centre for the South West of England.

A1 Positive Recycling is a non-profit social enterprise, who wants to build up a positive management team to help lead the future development of the social enterprise.

Commercial Landlords in Exeter, Devon could save well over £10,000 per year on business rates through offering a free lease of a building to our Social Enterprises.

Mr Neil is the CEO and Co-Director for A1 which he started out as an IT technician upgrading and repairing computers and Eco-friendly cleaning services, A1 is now specialising in local data cleaning, computer and mobile phone reuse, ink and toner cartridge sales & recycling.

In May 2005 Neil was awarded an Un Ltd level 1 Millennium award and a Co-op Community Dividend award.

Neil said the planned alternative technology education center will be aimed at training, educating and empowering adults with learning difficulties.

He said he was currently looking for dynamic & positive committed people who can offer us the practical-hands-on-support, with skills & a proven track record in:- PR and Media, Project's Administrator PA, book keeper, accountant, Project's Manager, Website Designer/DTP, Grant Funding officer, events coordinator, stock controller, contracts manager, common law lawyer. A1 Positive has a variety of tasks to carry out, it's not all be about reuse and refurbishing, IT hardware & diagnostics, we need people with proven practical-skills in:- administration, Date entry, project management, web master, Graphics Designer, SEO person, P A, marketing, fundraiser, project manager.

Whether you have 100 minutes a month, or 7 hours, we'd like to hear from you. Your time, energy, and ideas are appreciated.

We do ask you to work set hours or times, you would like to do.

We are very flexible, and can often fit our work around volunteer availability at times.

People with Skills Needed, but are by no means limited:

• Treasurer Accountant
• fund-raising
• drawing up of contracts and general legal assistance
• completion of grant application forms
• business-to-business communication
• Apply to join the A1 steering group / management team
• keeping the workshop well-organised
• restocking and placing collected equipment in alphabetical order by manufacturer
• refurbishing products in our workshop
• marketing and marketing surveys
• co-ordinating equipment collections and supporting our clients in the local area
• designing flyers for A1PRP's newsletters and events, publications, web design/webmaster
• packing and sending boxes to our partner charities in the UK
• driving to carry out deliveries and collections in and around Exeter, and / or assisting the driver
