A1 Positive Recycling is one of the first not-for-profit Social Enterprises in Devon to be granted an Electrical, Electronic exemption by the UK Environment Agency and they are the only enterprise who can positively reduce your Carbon Footprinty whilst benefiting the community. A1 Positive are an Exeter Based not-for-profit social enterprise who aim to establish and build an alternative technology education center in the south west to train adults with learning difficulties and to educate, empower and fund others who support A1's primary social objectives to promote "Positive Change Through Social Enterprise" and "TEAM Together, Each, Accomplishes, More" Anyone can support this local social enterprise either through the purchase of A1's environmental services and products or through our environmental cleaning services, to include the purchase of high quality on-site data destruction services, Mobile phone recycling services, Ink, toner cartridges sales and recycling, remember where possible our products are manufactured to the ISO 9001/14001 Certified Plant here in the United Kingdom.
A1 do make a small charge to cover insurance and transport cost plus to cover our recycling, refurbishment, running cost.
A1 is a fully licensed and insured computer refurbish er in accordance with the duty of care waste and electrical, electronic legislation. A1 have secure workshop premises located in Exeter, Devon.
New Changes mean that ink and toner printer cartridges are only collected from customers who currently purchase new ink or toner cartridges direct from A1 Positive Recycling Project.
Where possible, damaged items are salvaged for parts ones that have passed the A1 quality checks are then separated based on the make, model and condition they are in, for appropriate refurbishment. Once sorted and segregated they are then packaged ready for re-manufacturing and processing to the ISO 9001/14001 standard in the UK.
A1 Positive is building up a mixed management team staff body of up to 23 people who have experienced as tradesmen and women, A1 Positive Recycling Project Ltd is a growing scheme, qualified to the City and Guilds, Microsoft quality Standards.

The company is managed by our founder Mr Neil Wintrip who has been involved in the electrical and computer and electrical recycling industry business for many years. Mr Wintrip is also the Managing Director who jointly oversees the company, having previously owned and run South West TV Video and Hi Fi, A1 South West Communications and South West Satellite in Exeter, Devon.

1. The name of the Company is “A1 Positive Recycling Project Ltd” hereinafter referred to as the “Company”.
2. The registered office of the Company will be situated in England and Wales.

The objects of the company shall be to establish a funding stream through the collection and sorting, returning ink and toner cartridges to be re-manufactured, the reuse, refurbishment, recycling of computer equipment, and mobile phones to fund the establishment for an alternative technology centre for adults with learning problems and to educate, empower and fund other not-for-profit Social Enterprises with primarily Social objectives for the community of which they serve, promoting ‘Positive Change Through Social Enterprise.’

You can choose to use our recycling services this will help A1 to help you to comply with your duty of care this will give you the satisfaction that you are helping to save the environment and reducing your own carbon footprint when you use A1's recycling services at the same time supporting A1 Positives longer term goals. You might also consider joining one of our Partnership Schemes. These can be formal or informal.
What is the difference between formal and informal partners?
Formal partners work directly with the applicant organisation to deliver and manage the project.
Informal partners are those who have helped with the setting up of the project and may be involved in its delivery (e.g. members of a project steering group or informal advisor's).
