A1 Positive Recycling Since 1990

What's local recycling?

The process of A1 Positive is to offer local secure on-site data wiping and recycling services to reuse working computer, laptops and mobile phones less than 4 years old that would otherwise be considered waste.

Waste is unwanted or undesired material left over after the completion of a process or a product disregarded.

"Such as a working unused Item such as a Mobile Phone, a Net-book or a Laptop, Tablet, Personal Computer"

Waste can exist in any phase of matter solid, liquid, or gas. When released in the latter two states, gas especially, the wastes are referred to as emissions. It is usually strongly linked with pollution.

We care about our environment and we care that our natural resources will one day be consumed by us, therefore our children will be affected. In order to protect the future of our children, A1 Positive Recycling Project has been established to prevent this from happening.

Computer Electrical, Electronic, Equipment Recycling Devon

Secure Local Computer Recycling, we specialise in the secure collection and disposal of redundant working computer and electrical equipment across the South West. We operate a local collection service and we are fully licensed by the UK Environment Agency to collect, transport and recycle refurbish working equipment where possible.

Data cleansing is the first test of the machine’s functionality and creates completely data safe computers. They are then tested and inspected to determine if they work and for their physical appearance. This includes the removal of any tags and markings. This is obviously important as it ensures the machine achieves maximum value when it is resold. If it isn’t working, it will be repaired, if that can be justified.

With your help, old electricals

can live again!

When the spark’s gone from your old electrical equipment there are many things you can do to stop it from ending up in landfill.

A1 Positive then sell all commercially viable units at fair market value or above. Alternatively, as Microsoft Authorised Re furbishers, we can donate them to a charity of your choice through the MAR Program.

Another word about security

You would be justified in having serious concerns about security, especially if you’ve had mission-critical or otherwise sensitive data on the disks we ensure to use our on-site data wiping service for peace of mind. Here’s just a few of the security measures we implement daily:

  • Sites are covered 24hours a day by CCTV cameras. Mobotix IP Security cameras monitor the entire internal secure area. The cameras are powered using a Power Over Ethernet switch, which is protected by a one hour UPS. The cameras also have Lithium batteries, which will allow them to continue to monitor and record to a Micro SD Card, for a further 24 hours after power failure. Motion detection is enabled on all cameras, and images are stored on an off-site server. 4 of the cameras are M12’s – Day & Night lens. 5 of the cameras are M24’s – Day lens.
  • All staff are CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked
