Kempen Jualan Rahmah Shopee Provides Up to 40% Savings on Ramadan Essentials for Malaysians

KUALA LUMPUR, 9 MARCH 2023 - Aspiring to better serve Malaysians in both rural and urban locations this Ramadan, Shopee has launched Kempen Jualan Rahmah Shopee today with the goal of supporting consumers in getting the best value while shopping for necessities. 


This is a strategic alliance between the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) and Shopee Malaysia under the Payung Rahmah initiative to alleviate the financial strain on the people, particularly from the B40 and M40 group. 


The campaign runs from 3 March to 30 April, supporting Malaysians with savings of up to 40% from discounts and shipping vouchers while planning their purchases for the Ramadan and Raya festive season. 


Through the Lowest Price Guaranteed tag, Malaysians can access a wide selection of quality and reliable products and save more. These selected products are from various categories including groceries and pets, baby products, school supplies, healthcare and more. The campaign also offers up to 25% discount vouchers for users to settle monthly utility bills through online payment with Shopee. 

The launching ceremony of Kempen Jualan Rahmah Shopee at Shopee Malaysia Headquarters was graced by the presence of Datuk Seri Salahuddin bin Ayub, Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, alongside Dato’ Rohaizi Zahari, Senior Director of Trade, Distribution and Business Sector, KPDN and Terence Siau, Director & Country Head of Malaysia, Sea Ltd.


“KPDN understands the financial strains on families caused by the rising cost of living stemming from the recent macroeconomic environments. We are excited to once again partner with Shopee, this time through Kempen Jualan Rahmah Shopee. Given the platform's inclusivity, KPDN believes that B40 and M40 Malaysians will benefit from this campaign when they support micro, small and medium enterprises,” said YB Datuk Seri Salahuddin bin Ayub, Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living.

Shopee also previously partnered with KPDN in 2021 and 2022 for the Kempen Beli Barangan Malaysia. In 2022, the campaign has uplifted over 26,000 local sellers who offer more than 100,200 local products through the Shopee platform.
