Coyotes Build Skills Through Years
Coach, Thad White, said little guy and Junior High Wrestling has been one element that has helped build the high school wrestling program.
Cut Bank Tournament
The coyote wrestlers went to cutbank to wrestle at tournament that is not only class B C schools but also AA and A schools. Though the coyotes are not AA, they still managed to wrestle competitively against many AA kids out of the tournament to place. Berlin Larson placed 2nd, Ryan Simpson got 4th, And Neveah Riphenburg placed 6th
Choteau tournament
Coyotes wrestled hard at a very important tournament to take a look at who they would be wrestling at divisional's then state. Berlin Larson, Trista Mallo, and Ryan Simpson all placed 6th and wrestler Ryland Larson placed 5th.
BC Divionals
Shelby coyotes drove all the way down to Pablo Montana. They all knew the stakes because if they get a good enough placing they will go to state. Shelby coyotes Ryan Simpson, Evan Flores, Berlin Larson, and Ryland Larson all placed and Qualified for state. Freshmen Trista mallo also placed and just barley missed qualification for state.
2024 State Wrestling
four Shelby coyotes qualified for state. Senior Berlin Larson at Girls 145, Senior Ryan Simpson at Heavyweight, Junior Evan Flores at 126, And Sophomore Ryland Larson at 145. No coyotes placed at this tournament but they all wrestled hard and left it all on the mat.
