Team Brief is EFM's monthly newsletter aiming to share as much relevant information as possible to our c.1000 department (please note there is no Team Brief in January or in the same months we hold Town Halls).

The latest and previous editions of Team Brief are always available from this Google Shared Drive.

Team Huddles Kick Off and Cascade

Since May 2026 Team Brief is circulated by email the day before the kick off Team Huddles - the monthly get together of our teams.

In Person Team Huddles kick off on Floor 8 of the Arts Tower, followed immediately by a repeat session at George Porter.  There is a 3rd ACS session which we also endeavour to deliver on the afternoon of the same day.  Anyone from EFM is welcome to attend any of the sessions, or feel free to attend any of the Team Talks taking place if they fit more conveniently with your working schedule that month. Please speak to managers about local arrangements. Managers try to schedule the cascade of Team Huddles as soon as possible following the kick off sessions.  We appreciate this isn't always easy with our team members who work shifts.

Virtual Team Huddles - Managers can choose to either to invite their teams to attend and/or they can hold their usual Team Cascade meetings . 

Unfortunately because the invitation goes out to over 200 people Google has disabled the option for you to invite your teams directly within the diary entry. Instead as a workaround, you need to add them to this Google Group "EFM Virtual Huddle" (Click on the link to open the Group, select 'Members' and then select 'Add Members') Then the meeting will update into their diaries within 24 hours.

If any team decides to host the google meet for a group of staff in a meeting room - please record the attendance as you would with the Cascade meetings.  

The huddle will be recorded so it can be made available to anyone who cannot attend on the day.

Opportunity to ask questions or share information

Team Huddles are an opportunity for anyone to raise any queries or share anything relevant to the others attending the Huddle (whether there is related content in Team Brief or not). For Virtual Huddles, you can ask a question via Google Chat or submit a question in advance using this Google Form.
