You can apply if you are 19 or older on 31st August 2025 and have an approved Advanced Learner Loan to cover your course fees 

If your household income is under £30,000, you could get help with

• Travel to and from college

• Childcare

• Professional registrations or memberships (linked to your course or career)

• Course costs like uniforms, books, trips, or materials

If your household income is between £30,001 and under £35,000, you could get help with:

• Travel to and from college

You may be eligible if you:

• Have a household income of £35,000 or less

• Get Income Support, Jobseeker’s Allowance (income-based), ESA, or Universal Credit

• Get the Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit

• Can show you are facing financial hardship

• Have an approved Advanced Learner Loan to cover the course costs
